Description
Your exact size, edges, and bevel. And one price, shown to you before you ever hit the checkout page.
Your vanity mirror has fogged at the edges and started losing its silver. Or the bathroom mirror cracked, the closet door mirror needs replacing, or a room just needs a mirror wall. You've taken your measurements already, and all you need is the mirror, cut to your exact measurements. However, your local glass cutting shop won't cut just a single piece, quoted you a minimum that definitely costs more than the actual mirror, or told you it's a week or two out. The good thing is that you can order your mirror here, and we'll ship it right to your door!
That's the whole job here. You give us your measurements, pick your edges and corners, and you get a price on the spot. Once you've submitted your order, we'll get it cut, edged, and put any customizations on the corners, and ship it to you. You don't have to go to a store, haggle on pricing, or carry a heavy sheet of mirror home in the back seat of your car.
What People Order Custom Mirrors For
-
Vanity & bathroom mirrors: Replace a fogged or de-silvered mirror with a new one, cut to the exact same size, with the edge finish you want.
-
Wall & full-length mirrors: A clean piece sized to your specific wall or closet door. There's no off-the-shelf "good enough" here. Building codes may require these to be tempered or safety glass. If this is the case for you, reach out to us for a special quote.
-
Mirrored walls and backsplashes: Panels cut to fit a section of wall, a kitchen backsplash, or a gym or studio space where people need to see the whole room. Building codes may require these to be tempered or safety glass. If this is the case for you, reach out to us for a special quote.
-
Furniture mirrors: A replacement mirror for an antique dresser, buffet, or vanity, matched to the original size and thickness.
-
Cabinet & door inserts: Mirror panels at your exact size for cabinet fronts and furniture. We can do them in batches if you need that!
-
Decorative and framed mirrors: A mirror cut to drop into a frame you already own, with whatever edgework the frame calls for.
If you're building something we didn't list, no worries! If it's something you can measure, the configurator can usually get it priced out.
Read This Before You Order
There are a few things about mirror glass that surprise people. None of these are deal breakers, but knowing them can help you make informed choices so that you get the right piece the first time.
Standard mirrors are not made from safety glass. A regular silvered mirror is annealed glass with reflective backing. It's cut, edged, and finished to your specs before it ships, and that is exactly what most wall, vanity, and furniture mirrors call for. However, there is no safety glazing. If your mirror sits somewhere that building code treats as a hazard location (like if it doubles as a door or large glass close to the floor in some settings), you may need tempered or safety-backed mirror glass instead. Not sure if that applies to your situation? You can send it to us before you order.
Edges can de-silver in wet rooms. In bathrooms and other damp places, moisture sitting on a raw mirror edge over time is what eventually causes that black, flaking, "losing its silver" look around the edge. A finished edge plus a sealed, ventilated install will keep that from happening early.
Thicker mirrors show less distortion. A large, thin mirror can show slight waviness in the reflection. For that reason, all of our mirrors are 1/4" thick.
Build It Exactly How You Need It.
Our online builder takes you through every step of the process:
-
Thickness: Our mirrors all come in 1/4 thickness, which keeps the reflection flat and holds up well to freight handling in our crating. If you need a thinner mirror (down to 1/8"), send us a message or give us a call.
-
Dimensions: Enter width and height down to the fraction. We use the numbers you provide to make the cut, so this is the one to double-check.
-
Shape: Rectangle or square as standard, with circles, ovals, and custom shapes where offered.
-
Edges: Seamed (the basic safe edge), flat polish, pencil polish, or a bevel for a finished, framed look. Bevels are the signature mirror edge, so this is where a plain replacement becomes a finished piece.
-
Corners: Leave them square, clip them, or round them off.
How to Measure (so you only have to order once)
Custom glass is cut to the numbers you provide, so it can't be returned for a sizing mistake. Measure the opening, not the frame, and check the width and height in a few spots in case it isn't square. Allow a small gap where the glass sits in the channel (at least 1/16"), and write it as width x height in inches and fractions.
Getting It to You in One Piece
Each order ships in a protective crating built for freight, with edge and surface protection, and it's insured, with tracking. Inspect it before you sign, and if anything arrives broken, our breakage replacement policy covers it: Report it with a photo within 48 hours of delivery, and we'll make it right, with your replacement glass arriving within 5 business days.
Order For Your Business
Designers, contractors, cabinet makers, property managers: reorder the same specs without rebuilding them, quote jobs against one transparent (pun absolutely intended) price, and reach a real person for the odd cutout or batch run.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you cut a mirror to my exact size?
Yes. You enter the width and height you need in the builder, right down to the fraction, and the mirror is cut to that size with the edge and corner finish you select.
Is custom mirror glass tempered or safety glass?
No. Our standard mirrors are annealed glass with a silvered backing, the same as most wall, vanity, and furniture mirrors. It's cut, edged, and finished to your size before it ships. If your mirror goes somewhere building code treats as a hazard location, like a door or a large panel low to the floor, you may need a tempered or safety-backed mirror instead. Not sure whether that's you? Send us your setup before you order, and we'll tell you what fits.
What thickness mirror should I order?
We only offer 1/4" thickness on our website, since the heavier glass keeps the reflection flat and resists wavy reflections. If you need a thinner mirror, please contact us for a custom quote!
Will the edges de-silver in a bathroom?
De-silvering happens when moisture sits on a raw edge over time. A finished edge plus a sealed, well-ventilated install is what prevents it.
Can I get a beveled edge?
Yes. Along with seamed, flat-polish, and pencil-polish edges, a bevel gives a framed, finished look on its own. Be sure to pick it in the builder.
How much does a custom mirror cost?
It depends on the thickness, size, edges, corners, and shipping. The builder shows your exact total before you pay.
Can you match the mirror on my antique dresser or buffet?
In most cases, yes. Measure the original mirror/space and match the thickness in the builder. For an exact look on an antique piece, send us photos and the measurements before ordering.
